Summer Vacancy: May – September

New Forest Ice Cream is a family‑run business established in 1983. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and building long‑standing relationships with our customers, many of whom have been with us for years.

We are looking for a Customer Service Agent to join our team during our busiest period, from May to September, based at our production site in Lymington, Hampshire. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, speaking to a wide range of people including head chefs in pubs and restaurants, owners of ice cream parlours, and retail shop managers – all talking about one thing: ice cream!

Key Responsibilities

• Contact regular customers on a scheduled basis to take and process their weekly delivery orders using our internal system.
• Set up new customer accounts accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed and up‑to‑date customer service records.
• Promote new products, seasonal ranges, and special offers while placing orders.
• Handle customer queries promptly, professionally, and with patience.
• Manage incoming customer enquiries via telephone, email, and the website.
• Coordinate customer requests for point‑of‑sale materials and advertising support.

Skills & Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C or Grade 4 (or equivalent) or above.
• Strong attention to detail with a diligent and conscientious approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Intermediate experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience.
