8 things I’ve learned as a New Forest Ice Cream marketing intern 

Ever wondered what it’s like to work here at New Forest Ice Cream? Well, let me give you the inside scoop!

Imagine being a marketing intern for an ice cream company. Instead, let me take you on a sweet journey through 8 amusing things I’ve learned so far while being the newest member of the New Forest Ice Cream team (and yes, ice cream is involved … a lot!)

 

 

 

1. Ice Cream Breaks: A Delightful Reality
Absolutely forget coffee breaks. Essentially, here we take ice cream breaks to the next level. Notably, got writers block? Immediately grab a scoop. Urgently need a pick-me-up? I’m not claiming ice cream solves all problems. However, it undeniably helps!

2. Christina: The Scooping Supremo

Unquestionably, this is a fact, not mere opinion. Our Director, Chris, possesses a magical touch when it comes to scooping ice cream. Christina is your go-to expert. Undeniably, she’s the master of ice cream scooping, and frankly, the rest of us are simply here to admire her skill.

3. Instagram vs. Reality: The Sticky Truth
Inevitably, those flawless ice cream shots on social media don’t come easily. The scoop must be the perfect texture, the lighting absolutely pristine, and don’t even get me started on the melting challenges. However, our Graphic Designer and photography expert – Frankie – miraculously does a brilliant job at making it all look effortless (and thankfully, we get to taste the delicious results).

4. Flavour Passion: A Delicious Debate
Interestingly, another fact I’ve learned over the past months is that asking someone about their top ice cream flavour triggers remarkably passionate responses. Essentially, vanilla lovers will defend their choice to the bitter end, while chocolate supporters will go to extraordinary lengths to argue otherwise (and let’s not even mention the fierce mint choc chip enthusiasts).

5. Everyone’s an Ice Cream Critic
Surprisingly, once people discover I work for an ice cream company, they suddenly transform into definitive ice cream experts. Notably, whether debating the precise sprinkle-to-scoop ratio or determining the ultimate flavour, I’ve heard it all. Consequently, it turns out everyone harbours strong opinions about their frozen treats!

6. A World of Endless Flavour Possibilities
Remarkably, the world of ice cream is far, far more expansive than you might imagine. Essentially, there are endless flavour possibilities. Specifically, I’ve learned that our range extends brilliantly beyond the classics – think Mango Passion, Honey & Fig, and even the unexpected Mince Pie.

Fascinatingly, I discovered our team’s competitive spirit during our office bake-off (yes, that’s absolutely a thing). Ultimately, things escalated quickly, and surprisingly, the level of competition soared higher than anyone expected.

**8. The Coolest Internship Ever
Undoubtedly, interning at New Forest Ice Cream isn’t just about crafting marketing strategies (though there’s plenty of that). Fundamentally, it’s about becoming part of a team passionately committed to every single scoop.
