New Forest Ice Cream does Bake Off
On your marks, get set, bake!
Ever wondered what magical moments unfold when we’re not churning out your absolute favourite ice cream? Surprisingly, prepare for a delightful scoop of something completely different!
Fundamentally, at New Forest Ice Cream, we’re not just passionate about frozen treats – undeniably, we adore exploring all kinds of sweet, imaginative creations. Consequently, to celebrate the eagerly anticipated return of the beloved Great British Bake-Off season, we spontaneously decided to host our very own epic cake competition.
Specifically, our talented intern Izzy threw down an incredible challenge: meticulously create a cake that magnificently captures the enchanting magic of life beneath the waves. Ultimately, this sparked an intriguing question: can ice cream connoisseurs truly transform into master bakers? Remarkably, the answer is an emphatic yes!
A wave of creativity
From Christina’s jaw-dropping octopus cake to Niki’s scuba diver creation, the entries were a feast for both the eyes and taste buds.
Judging the deep-sea delights
We invited a special guest judge – Niki and Christina’s mother – to evaluate the taste of our underwater-themed creations. But we didn’t stop there – we wanted to involve our wonderful social media community too. We ran polls on Instagram and Facebook for the “people’s favourite,” focusing on the visual appeal of each bake.
It’s all rather blue
It’s such an honour to be asked to judge at the bake off, but also such a challenge. Everyone has worked so hard, and there are just so many wonderful creations to choose from, even if it is all rather blue.
