Navigating ice cream choices with a nut allergy

Today, we’re diving into a topic very important to us: how to enjoy ice cream with a nut allergy. So, let us tell you a little bit about our nut-free promise and share some tips that we have gathered!

no nuts here

Our nut-free promise

We believe that everyone deserves a scoop (or three) of happiness. That’s why all our ice cream is packed with 100% nut-free flavours.

At New Forest Ice Cream, we take nut allergies seriously. That’s why we:

  • Have a declared a nut-free compound (it’s not just the factory and offices, we don’t even let nuts in the car park).
  • Train our staff about all about allergies (they can spot a nut from a mile away).
  • Clearly label all our products (no hidden surprises here).

What to watch out for

When you’re out and about and hunting for the perfect scoop, keep your eyes peeled for these sneaky nut culprits:

  • “May contain nuts” labels.
  • Cross-contamination in ice cream parlours.
  • Hidden nut ingredients.

Tips for safe scooping

  1. Always read the label (yes, even if you’ve had it before – recipes can change!)
  2. Don’t be shy – ask questions at ice cream shops.
  3. When in doubt, stick to simple flavours (vanilla is the superhero of the ice cream world).
  4. Carry your allergy medication (because better safe than sorry, right?)

Living with a nut allergy doesn’t mean you have to give up on the creamy, dreamy goodness of ice cream. With a little know-how and some trusty nut-free options, you can still scream for ice cream.

Remember, nut-free doesn’t have to mean fun-free. Now, stay safe and keep scooping!
